Info: Children of Today

An interesting perspective on the kids growing up today and how some people in different parts of the world have a future perspective and some think about the past. However the future orientated may be working harder and getting further but they are most likely to have a heart attack. It's an interesting thought and something that compliments a book i'm currently reading.

Info: Behind the scenes at Google

This video showing what life is like at Google HQ is pretty interesting & definitely shows the working environment in a good light. I think some advertising companies give employees the same type of benefits and really make work seem like a fun place to be.

The Future: Visual Search

Visual Search is a new way of finding out information. Using your phones camera you can find out information about your location or even add contact information to your phone by taking a picture of the person business card. Google released the "Google Goggles" software at the end of last year and there's other companies that have already created similar software for the iPhone. It's little touches on the android devices like this and the bar code scanner that really make the platform shine.

Creative: Dyson Fan

Sir James Dyson has always gone against the normal ways of thinking and is one of this decades best inventors. After being turned down by the big vacuum companies he created the first bag-less Vacuum Cleaner and since then has revolutionised many other household machinery. His latest invention is the blade-less desk fan, which takes air in and then multiplies it allowing you to feel a cold breeze against you.

I knew magazines photoshop celebrity images to make them look better but I didn't know how much. These pictures really surprised me, they even change body shape.

I found this site "http://www.sugarstacks.com/" it shows how much sugar is in the food you eat, the image above is quite shocking. I knew Coca Cola had lots of sugar but not that much. Even carrots have sugar in them, I never knew.

The possibilities for this seem endless, imagine changing what your clothes look like with the click of a button and what will future theme park rides be like?

Amazing: fMRI

This is a documentary about the advances in brain scanning technology, it's kinda long but I learnt so much. The end section talks about my dissertation subject, the marketing of a product and how they can use brain scans to work out what people want.

Info: Take Back the Tap!

This is the winning video for the Bring Back the Tap! video contest. It shows you why bottled water isn't good for you and persuades the viewer to have tap water. I think many people have bottled water because they're out and don't want to have an unhealthy alternative (Coke etc.). This probably wont stop those people but it may make people choose the tap when it's available. The video reminds me of Sesame Street.
