Advert: Are you going bald?
Rethink Canada has created this interesting piece of guerilla marketing for Panorama Hair. The company decided to stick mirrored stickers to the inner roofs of buses highlighting the effects of the recessive male gene. If you didn't think you were going bald before.. maybe now is time to a take a second look.

Advert: Kungfu Panda
A great piece of guerilla marketing.
Background: Guerrilla marketing was first introduced to the world by Jay Conrad Levinson. The technique has been used by a host of companies trying to make you stop and stare. Usually the campaigns are low budget and placed in the popular streets, shopping centres and train stations. With every mum, dad and dog having a camera phone these days the message is normally spread quickly to a host of different people on the internet.

Adverts: Nature Themed Marketing
These are two striking adverts against the killing of animals.
The first is the "Stop the Chopping" campaign by WWF. The organisation
managed to convince over 60 governments last year to sign a pact towards zero net deforestation by the year 2020.
The second is by SAFE, a company that makes people question why we kill animals.
I think both pieces are very visual and made me question the killing of animals and there habitats. Do we really need crocodile boots?

Advert: Mercedes Guerilla Marketing
Marketing agency BBDO had been given the task of persuading non Mercedes drivers to test drive a Mercedes. Their creative solution was to stick the Mercedes badge to the bonnets of cars in the area giving the drivers the idea of driving a Merc. The campaign was so successful it increased sales and test drives by 30% in the local area. This campaign seems to have touched people in a way I have seen very few marketing campaigns do so far. It gave the target audience the thought of what life could be like in a very visual tangible way, I really want to see what BBDO come up with next.

Advert: Skin Ads
Superette a New Zealand clothing company have started to use skin as a way to advertise their products. They have placed raised logos on park benches so when somebody sits down the imprint is left on their legs.
The person is now walking around town with a skin advert.... now that really is branding.

Advert:: Doriots Superbowl 2011
Advertisers spend millions each year to place an advert during the break between the superbowl. This year was no difference with many companies creating new adverts for the time slot. Doritos ran a competition where users voted for the advert they wanted to see during the superbowl. The chosen advert was the pugg advert above which has already gained an impressive 2million views on youtube.

Viral: Intel Video
A really creative way to show a chase scene through a computer. All of your favourite programs are there, I guess with Intels might they can do it without getting sued?

Creative: Water bottle slimming advert
Using an image on the inside of a bottle of water the advertising agency could make the woman look fat or thin depending on the amount of water in the bottle. Very clever and simple idea.

Viral: Samsungs Facebook Ape
Samsung wanted to create a viral video to promote a new camera of theirs and ad agency Traktor Werbeagentur came up with an ingenius way to capture buzz. They simply gave the camera to a monkey at a zoo and proved that any person (or monkey) could upload images to facebook. Facebook users could follow Nonja the monkey's day by watching her facebook uploaded images. I'm not sure if the monkey was taught how to use a camera or how to upload images but some how Nonja managed to pull it off.
You can view the Facebook page here; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nonja/190010092116

Advert: Normal Task in seconds
This is a new viral campaign by Sprint, an american phone network. The idea is to show you how to do simple day-to-day tasks in a fraction of a second. I'm not sure what to think about these videos. They help you achieve tasks like taking off a t-shirt in a very quick amount of time but it's still just taking off a t-shirt and since when has it been a race? They have achieved their goal of persuading somebody to blog them though, so I guess they work as a viral media.

Advert: Heineken - Walk in
This is an advert that's perfect for Viral. Highlighting what means most to each gender, I'd prefer the walk-in-wardrobe though :S

Advert: Toys R Us
Most people remember the coca cola Christmas adverts as the cool festive ads which meant that finally Christmas was approaching. Don't get me wrong I love the coke ads but I always loved the Toys R Us ads with their catchy jingle, this is the original 1990's UK ad in full.
