Fashion: Chanel Hula Hoop Bag

Karl Lagerfeld has created this very different beach bag as part of his spring/summer 2013 collection. I'm not sure if I like it but it definitely is different.

Fashion: Nike release Nike MAG Back to the Future shoes

The famous shoes worn in Back to the Future by Marty McFly are now available on eBay. Nike have created 150 pairs of the "Nike MAG"'s to finally give sneaker heads and films fans the shoes they have desired. The kicks will only be available through the auction site and all proceeds will go to the Michael J. Fox foundation to help people with Parkinsons.

Fashion: Maison Martin Margiela Pocket Square Wallet

I'm currently considering creating a new fashion collection with the aim to either include them within my poetry book or start selling pieces in limited runs online.

The above piece by Maison Martin Margiela blew my mind. I love pocket squares and leather and the fact the piece looks so minimalistic. The idea of combining two things together in a clever way and making it seem classy is my main aim with my collection.

The only problem with the piece... it will set you back £120

Fashion: aRCe Clothing - I Love LDN TOO

I worked on a little clothing project for a friend of mine called Anthony White. He wanted an I Love London T-shirt but wanted the "Too" added to it.  The design is pretty simple and I think it worked in its final form, could imagine this being worn with a blazer and jeans. I have learnt that there is a clear difference between making something for yourself and making something for somebody else. You have to not only work out what other will think of the design but more importantly focus on what the person you are making it for will think of it. That may be obvious but when actually creating designs it makes things a lot more difficult. In this case I think I did the job well, Ant was happy with the final product and that was the main point.

At the moment I'm actually creating a new set of designs for aRCe Clothing with a smarter approach. I'm going with minimalistic design with one standout part to each piece. I also have a new logo specifically for the pieces which I will unveil in time. I'm also designing with the idea of selling this time, who knows if I will actually go through with the selling process.....

Fashion: Crazy Watches

The Eye of the Storm watch by Qian Yiran doesn't have a face, just two lights which represent the hour and minute marks. I really like the minimillistic approach with this design and can see this appealing to the G-Shock crowd, if it was ever mass produced.

This clever egg timer watch shows the hours and minutes inside the egg timer and as you can see the egg timer lights up at night. The watch is titled "OZO" and was created by Anton Repponen. He created the watch to "present the time in the middle of the watch in a new way".

ART/Fashion: Work by Shira Keret

Designed by Shira Keret these products are simple yet elegent.
The winged knife reminds me of the adidas x Jeremy Scott trainer collaboration, so minimalistic and yet so effetive.

The bubbles are something truley new and I'm sure can be pulled off by quite a few girls with an arty fashion sense.

Fashion: dɐƃ

For a new clothes style GAP decided to turn their shop upside down. This included signs, models and even a few cars. Definitely something that would catch your eye when walking along the high street, wish they had done it over here.

Fashion: Alexander McQueen Shirt

I can see that the death of Alexander will bring higher profits to his company. For one reason, not very many people knew who he was before he died. I've always found his clothes to be too out there and not something I would feel comfortable wearing, the huge price tag doesn't help either. However I really like this design its clever and I could definitely see myself wearing it out, it is £265 though

ART/ Fashion: Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren has created a limited edition kit which allows you to paint your own polo shirt. The kit includes a white polo shirt, paint and stamps. All profit from the product will go to charity. I like creating my own clothes and see this as a more basic way to do that. This is obviously more aimed at children than adults but if your a good artists maybe you'd want to wear the shirt after.

Fashion/Art: Hype Mean Nothing

These are the new t-shirts by Hype Means Nothing. The company has many different designs, all with picture of celebrities with hand-glasses over their faces. I think they look cool and if I had some spare money would be gettin some right now.

Fashion: Louis Vuitton Midtop

This is one of 6 new shoes designed by Kanye West for Louis Vuitton. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” The shoes will be available in 4 different colour ways in June.

BTW these aren't the same as the Louis Vuitton Don's Kanye showed off before.

Fashion: Air Yeezy's

The Air Yeezy is a shoe made by Nike and Kanye West. It takes design ideas from Air Jordans, Marty McFly's shoes and Ato's Cow hide boots. The way kanye and nike have marketed the shoes is really unique, first showing them on the grammy's (where Kanye performed Stronger) and then wearing them on tour. Kanye has made his new shoe the next "big thing" without the usual forms of advertising, all he's done is wear them. The shoe will be released in many colour ways in March, I'm guessing they're gonna cost a lot and be hard to get.

Fashion: Taxi Mittens

So far I haven't posted anything about fashion. I like things that are colourful and creative but at the same time I do like formal suits and shirts.
These mittens are designed by Kate Spade a fashion designer from Missouri. Most of her designs are seen as "something charmingly familiar yet wonderfully original", I think this piece shows whats meant by that statement. I think they're cool, especially like the fact their yellow.
