aRCe: Magus album cover
I recently worked with the band Magus to create an album cover for "Music That Never Was". It was a great chance to create an art piece with a musician. As with any collaborative piece it was a challenge as different people have different likes and dislikes. However I think the final art work has come out really well.

Fashion: aRCe Clothing - I Love LDN TOO
I worked on a little clothing project for a friend of mine called Anthony White. He wanted an I Love London T-shirt but wanted the "Too" added to it. The design is pretty simple and I think it worked in its final form, could imagine this being worn with a blazer and jeans. I have learnt that there is a clear difference between making something for yourself and making something for somebody else. You have to not only work out what other will think of the design but more importantly focus on what the person you are making it for will think of it. That may be obvious but when actually creating designs it makes things a lot more difficult. In this case I think I did the job well, Ant was happy with the final product and that was the main point.
At the moment I'm actually creating a new set of designs for aRCe Clothing with a smarter approach. I'm going with minimalistic design with one standout part to each piece. I also have a new logo specifically for the pieces which I will unveil in time. I'm also designing with the idea of selling this time, who knows if I will actually go through with the selling process.....
More Info Coming Soon!!

Behind The Scenes - Eyesight Part 2 Viral

On Saturday I recorded some footage for a viral video to advertise my art/poetry book "The Thoughts of One, Feelings of Many".
The video is like a poetry music video for my poem "Eyesight part 2" which I'm still writing. The piece involved covering joleigh in white paint and then projecting images onto her, got some special effects and hopefully autotune thrown in there too. The video probably won't be shown until near the release of the book, so this is definitely coming soon... although soon might be a while

Poetry: HERO

Hero is the first poem I've released, if this was a song it would be my first single.
The poem combines a story of heart break with a super hero comic (in both image and words). The piece is a combination of poetry, rap and song lyrics with word play mixed in. So far comments have been really positive and I would really like to hear your opinion on it, I hope you like it.

aRCe: Cream Ibiza Workout Dancemob
Last week I helped 2Entertain create a viral for the new workout DVD from Cream Ibiza. We set up 4 areas for the Choreographer "Supple" and the four trained dancers to suddenly appear in and persuade passers by to join in. My job involved uploading the videos to lots of online video sites and trying to spread the word of the event for publicity. Fun stuff.

aRCe: Poetry
I'm currently in the process of creating a poetry book which I've tentatively called "The thoughts of one, feelings of many". It's been in development for the past year and a bit and I hope to have a physical first draft by June. I've been writing poetry for the last 10 years and I now feel it's time to show people. The first poem I'm going to try and get published is called "Hero", it's nearly finished and I've had positive feedback from the few that have read it.
This book is more than just a lot of random writing, I've been constantly researching what makes a good book, what type of things the public like and why they like what they do. I'm trying to bring poetry to the 15 - 30 age bracket as right now there isn't really anybody doing that except from my favourite poet Laura Dockrill (http://www.myspace.com/lauradockrill)

aRCe: Orlando Premier

Yesterday I was working at London's BFI on Sally Potter's Retrospective. It's a month long event the BFI have dedicated to Sally and her work. Last night was the first day and to start the season off with a bang, a remastered Orlando was premiered followed by a live Q&A with Sally and actress Tilda Swinton. The Q&A could be watched online @ sallypotter.com and questions could be asked through a specially created Twitter page. My job role was to set up the social sides of the event, including promotion through websites, blogs, Facebook and setting up the Twitter stuff. The event went pretty well, there was a hiccup which meant twitter questions weren't getting through but other than that the event was a success.

Behind the Scenes: Rishtay Relations
Over the last few months I've been shooting a 40 minute bollywood film called "Rishtay Relations". The piece is about Suniya, an 18 year old indian girl that falls in love with one of her dads employees. Even though Simon, said boyfriend, is liked by Ramesh (the father), Ramesh still finds it hard to except that the couple should be together and breaks them up.
The film mixes drama with dance to give the audience an exciting and vibrant view in to this colourful world.
The piece is currently being edited and will be finished by June 12th.

Loose Head Steady Heart from scott reeve on Vimeo.
This video was for the Finnish singer/songwriter Leena Tirronen. The video is in 4:3 due to some technical problem with the computer it was edited on. it was accidently exported in 4:3 but the sequence on Avid is now corrupted and it is almost impossible to export in 16:9
This is the music video we shot at the end of last year with behind the scenes pics @

aRCe Movie: A Lecture in Love

A lecture in Love is a 20-minute drama that unfolds on a school trip in Eastbourne. The story revolves around Will, a 28-year-old schoolteacher who is married to the head teacher, 54-year-old Angela. One of the faults in their relationship is their vast age gap, which results in Will’s affair with 18-year-old student, Kate.
Throughout the drama we see Will’s state of mind change and at the end he decides to do the right thing and end his fling with Kate, but things take a drastic turn for the worst when Angela accidentally walks in on Will when he tries to end his relationship with Kate. Kate then tries to blackmail Will by claiming that he raped her.
We've just had confirmation that our pitch was successful and we'll be recording the piece between the 30th March and 2nd April.
More info soon.

Rave On Air 09

Rave On Air is a big event at my uni. The high up people from all the big broadcasting companies come to view our work, see us work and talk to us about our work. It's a great chance for us to make contacts and hear other people's opinions on the industry and what we're doing. Last year I was Production manager for a live drama called Life: Live, this year I have a few things going on .. I'll explain what they are later.
BTW the above design is the temporary logo/branding and if your interested, the latest newsletter can be found here. http://www.raveonair.com/jan09_newsletter.html
